After completing an apprenticeship in welding and fabrication, Peter spent 15 years in the aviation industry undertaking maintenance and repair welding services of nickel alloy, marine industrial and flight turbine components, all to a CAA approved standard.
On establishing MFL, he identified a potential business opportunity and moved into the food and beverage processing industry – a large user of stainless steel and nickel alloy materials. Installations of pipework, pumps and ancillary equipment soon followed, drawing on Peter’s approved welding skills and engineering experience. The food industry was a natural progression, where MFL soon became an established, recognised and trusted pipework installer.
Due to high customer demand for commercial heating and hot water services, Peter became a Gas Safe Registered Engineer. So began MFL’s next journey into mechanical building services, consisting of commercial gas appliance installations and servicing, combined with commercial plumbing and heating system design, installation and maintenance.
